Luxurious Satin Comforter and Shams

I’m back on Color because by adding some color to your bedroom is one of the most cost effective things you can do to your home in these economical times. By pulling out a color in your comforter and painting one wall that color and / or make your bed skirt and throw pillows be that color you can completely change the look of your room. First thing I would like to say, don’t be afraid to try it! This week I will focus on color and try to give as many visual aids that I can find. All I would like to say is, “ have fun, you can be bold, and go for it”!
Sample: You LOVE a all white bed, 1000 count Egyptian Cotton Sheets and a thick white down comforter, white pillow shams, but now your room looks boring. Pant your walls BLUE, and I don’t mean light blue, Cobalt blue, Navy blue, a deep blue NOT necessary a bright blue. Put up some white shelves, add a white framed picture or mirror on the wall above your bed, white shutters on the windows or even just some white sheer drapes. Add some blue throw pillow on your bed or add another set of dark blue pillow shams to your bed, a there you go! (You can’t have too many pillow on a bed!)
All White Bed
This sample is good for a large bedroom, not necessary a small room. If you like this idea but you have a smaller room or you’re not ready to be that bold yet, only paint one wall the darker color, not all four walls. Paint the wall behind the bed to make your statement and then add accents in that color around the room to pull it all together.
