Knowing how to measure correctly can be a challenge. The right measurements can make all the difference when it comes to getting the perfect bedding set. Here are some helpful tips on measuring for your bed skirt.
Remember that bed skirts are designed to fit the box spring, not the mattress.
Measure your box spring to make sure it conforms to a conventional size. (Use a fabric measuring tape and measure the box spring from the left edge to the right edge – this is your box spring width. Measure the box spring from the head of the bed to the foot of the bed – this is your box spring length.) Please see chart to verify your bed size.
To order a bed skirt, you will need the drop measurement, which is the length from the floor to the top of the box spring. (take into consideration your floor type; hard surface, carpet, throw rug, etc.)
Standard drop length is 14″ inches but at The Trendy Bed.com we also carry 18″ and 21″ inch drop for your shopping convenience.
When ordering your bed skirt:
Do you need your bed skirt with split corners or without split corners? If you have a foot board (like the top picture above) you will need to order, or make sure your bed skirt comes with split corners to accommodate the frame. If your bed does not have a foot board you can accommodate a bed skirt with/out split corners. (See picture below)
Tip! In order to shorten any length for a custom fit drop, simply get the next size larger and tuck the skirt up with our Stay Tidy Bed Skirt Pins to create the perfect drop length.

I’ve read some good stuff here. Definitely worth bookmarking for revisiting.
Noticed your Webblog bookmarked on Reddit.I appreciate your web blog and marketing and advertising tactic. Verify out my Farmville Guideline if you get yourself a moment.
All this is interesting. But I would like to hear from experts on this topic.
I think the one thing to remember in all our tips and advise, that’s what it is. We try to feed information to help and guide when ever possible. Not “every” situation needs an expert, sometimes it’s just a little experience and support.
I would hope if an expect in this subject is reading this blog, any construction advise is always wanted and appreciated.
The bottom line: Make your home for YOU and YOUR family, do what makes you happy! Surround yourself with the things you love and enjoy and create peace and harmony in your home.
Thank You,
Cathy
